Airbags are fitted for the driver, driver’s knee, passenger, side, curtain, and rear seats.
Advanced Driver-Assistance System
Features include Autonomous Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Detection Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Collision Assist, and Driver Attention Alert.
AEB (Autonomous Emergency Braking)
Helps avoid or minimise the risk of collision by detecting slower moving or stalled vehicles and warning the driver in advance. Standard across the Torres range.
LKA (Lane Keeping Assist)
LKA uses a front camera to monitor the painted lane markers. On detecting an attempt to change lane without prior signaling, it automatically corrects the electric power steering to keep the vehicle within the intended lane. Standard across the Torres range.
BSW (Blind Spot-detection Warning)
Automatically assists braking if the risk of collision with vehicles in the blind-spot while changing lanes is detected. Not available on the Torres ELX or K30.
RCTW (Rear Cross Traffic Warning)
When reversing and an approaching vehicle is detected in its path, RCTW sounds an alarm and automatically applies the brakes to stop the vehicle and minimise the risk of collision. Not available on the Torres ELX or K30.
Emergency Lane Keeping (ELK)
Automatically manoeuvres the steering wheel when a risk is detected or to avoid an obstacle in the lane ahead. Available on the Torres EVX.
Emergency Steering Assist (ESA)
Assists steering the vehicle towards the driver’s intended directionto avoid an obstacle ahead. Available on the Torres EVX.
Smart High Beam (SHB) or High Beam Assist (HBA)
Automatically lowers the high beam when an approaching vehicle is detected, making night-driving easier and safer. Standard across the Torres range.
FVSA (Front Vehicle Start Alert)
Attracts driver’s attention with a visual pop-up alert and audible sound when the vehicle directly in front is pulling away. Standard across the Torres range.
SEW (Safety Exit Warning)
Warns of the risk of collision with vehicles in the blind spot when an occupant opens a door to get out of the vehicle once stationary. Standard across the Torres range.
DAA (Driver Attention Alert) or DAW (Driver Attention Warning)
If the system senses the driver’s attention level has been significantly reduced, it will give an audible warning and display a graphic on instrument cluster. Standard across the Torres range.
